We're looking forward to celebrating Jesus's birth on Christmas. But soon after, in mid-February, we'll be in the Lenten season, reflecting on Jesus's life and sacrifice on the cross. That means it's time to sit down, pray and get inspired to write a piece for publication in our annual church Lenten Devotional booklet.

Each year, we publish a booklet with 40 devotional entries written by the friends and members of this church. It's a tradition we enjoy greatly! 

If you've done it before, please consider participating again. If you've never tried it, let this be your year!

Write a short piece, 200 to 400 words, preferably typed in email (but handwritten is OK, too). The piece should begin with a line of Scripture, and please include which translation of the Bible you used. 

Your piece can cover any topic about Jesus's life, journey to the cross, teachings and sacrifice. Feel free to write about how Jesus's journey impacted you personally.
